Roasted to perfection, these Brussels sprouts are luxuriously coated in a sweet maple glaze, complemented by a crunchy pecan and cranberry medley.

Brussels sprouts: the childhood nemesis we all loved to dodge. But fear not! It turns out they just needed a little culinary TLC. This recipe will have you seeing them in a whole new, delicious light!

Discovering brussels sprouts was my way of turning a simple vegetable into a standout side dish. After a family gathering where roasted veggies fell flat, I decided to enhance these sprouts with a sweet and savory maple glaze. The moment my friends tasted them, their excitement was palpable; the crispy, caramelized edges combined with the rich maple flavor created a delightful crunch that had everyone coming back for more. This dish not only brings joy but also sparks curiosity about its secret. Once you try them, you’ll crave these sweet and savory bites long after they’re gone!

Maple Glazed Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

(Serves 4)

1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp maple syrup

Salt + pepper, to taste

½ cup dried cranberries

½ cup pecans, toasted and chopped

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on a sheet pan.

  • Roast 20–25 minutes. About 10 minutes in, remove sheet from oven and toss. Return to oven and finish roasting until caramelized and golden brown.

  • Transfer to serving dish, sprinkle with cranberries and pecans before serving.

Pairs well as a side dish with pork loin, roasted turkey or roasted chicken! Yumm!

Note: If you want more toasted nuts, add them to the baked sheet when you stir halfway into roasting.
